Malaysia announces conditional resumption of broiler exports from October


International Business News – According to reports, the Malaysian cabinet agreed on August 29 that specific and specialized chicken farms to export broilers can resume exporting broilers starting in October once they have obtained approval from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. This is the first time Malaysia has approved the resumption of broiler exports under certain conditions since the ban on broiler exports was issued in June.

Annua Musa, chairman of the Malaysian Cabinet “Anti-Inflation Jihad Special Forces”, said at the same time after the special team meeting on August 29 that the fresh standard net chicken top price after August 31 will continue to remain at RM9.4 per kilogram, and the government will continue to Maintain the subsidy of RM0.03 per egg.
